Brooke Kelly Selby

Brooke Kelly Selby is proud to be a new student member to New York Woman in Communications. Several years after arriving in NYC to pursue a career in fashion, she never thought she would be right back where she started…as a student!  Brooke completed her undergraduate studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (‘03), earning a degree in Accessories Design and Fashion Merchandising Management and Business. After a brief stunt as a children’s wear designer, Brooke realized that working in event planning would allow her to combine many of her passions and interests into one field. During her tenure as an event planner, and in her current position as Conference Coordinator for a corporate law firm, she started to realize the importance of effective communication in the marketplace. This understanding was the driving force behind Brooke’s decision to pursue a master of arts in Corporate Communication at Baruch College, City University of New York. Art, culture, and community involvement have been a huge part of her life since childhood. Joining NYWICI is a way for Brooke to be active in her community while supporting, contributing, and networking with the most successful community of women in the world.
