Jennifer Rizzi
Jennifer Rizzi, a proud 2008 NYWICI scholarship winner, is a sophomore English major and Spanish minor at Bucknell University. An avid writer, the Pittsburgh native first fell in love with the art of journalism in middle school and has enthusiastically explored her passion ever since. She recently finished interning in the news department of WTAE “Channel 4 Action News,” (Pittsburgh’s ABC-affiliated TV news station) where she helped to cover a variety of regional events for broadcast. Previously, she served as a student writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as well as editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper. Her journalism portfolio has been recognized by the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and her feature writing by the Youth Editors Association of America. She also has been named Pittsburgh District Champion in Informative Speaking by the Pennsylvania High School Speech League. She hopes to work as an anchor or field reporter for network TV news someday and enjoys acting, singing, and jogging in her spare time. She can be reached at jer043 [at] bucknell [dot] edu.
