Katerina Gkionis

Katerina Gkionis is a senior English major at The College of New Jersey.  Katerina became a NYWICI student member during her sophomore year and became actively involved in the Student Affairs Committee during her junior year.  She is a 2008 NYWICI Foundation scholarship winner who received the Roz Relin Memorial scholarship.  She has interned at several magazine publications and is now a weight-loss columnist for Weight Watchers Magazine.  Back on campus, Katerina is the Director of the College Union Board, where she plans concerts, comedy shows, bus trips and other events for the campus community.  She used these skills to assist with talent recruitment for the NYWICI Foundation event, “Ladies who Laugh,” in July 2008.  She aspires to become an editor at a women’s or health magazine eventually, but would love to spend her post-graduation summer in Greece and live in London for a short time.  She can be reached at gkionis2 [at] tcnj [dot] edu.
