Marie Dugo

Marie Dugo (NEXT Editor-in-Chief) is a junior at Vassar College majoring in Media Studies with a focus on television broadcast. She will be studying abroad for the fall semester with Vassar’s London Media Studies program, comprised of classes and an internship. Marie has grown up with NYWICI thanks to her mother’s membership and officially became a member herself in 2007 after winning a NYWICI Foundation Scholarship. She was honored to receive the first Alumnae Excellence Scholarship Award in 2008 and became the first-ever three-time scholarship winner in 2009. This is her second year as EIC of NEXT, a position she is honored to hold for another year. Besides her past contributions to nywiciNEXT and the nextBLOG, she is also active on the Student Affairs Committee. Marie aspires to be a morning TV news/interest show host, stemming from high school where she was an anchor, weathergirl, executive producer, and co-founder of the TV station. Despite this mildly realistic dream, Marie would still love to be a Disney princess on Broadway where she can continue her love of musical theatre while spreading the magic.
