Nina Elias

Nina Elias is a sophomore Magazine Journalism major at Syracuse University and the 2009 recipient of the Ruth G. Whitney Glamour Magazine Scholarship thanks to NYWICI! When she’s not belting it out to Broadway, watching Gossip Girl or painting her nails, Nina can be found writing and editing for JERK Magazine at the ‘Cuse, getting her happy hour on with Ed2010, and doo-wah-ing it with her female a cappella group Mainsqeeze. She is also a writer for several other on campus publications, the graphic designer of First Year Players, and a member of several singing groups. Nina hails from Kingston, Pennsylvania and is ready to be in the big city this summer, where she’ll fulfill a Glamour Magazine internship, as per her scholarship, and a second internship at Family Circle. She longs to become a writer and editor for a women’s magazine (ehhem.. Glamour!) and write a book. She can’t wait to work alongside her NYWICI girls! She can be reached at nmelias [at] syr [dot] edu.
